This is excellent!

I have owned American Pitbull Terriers for years now and it even took me till my second guess untill i got it.  If you pay close enough attention there is negative news regarding pitbulls almost every day.  The sad part is that 90% of the time the dogs are NOT American Pitbull Terriers.  People really need to do research before they judge.

unfortunatly, that is where their arrogance gets in the way, and the media plays on that!

hello all im new to this site and im a new owner to a 8 week old american staffordshire terrior im not sure if that is the same thing but thats what the lady i got her from called her was a pitbull but the paperwork says she is an american staffordshire terrior. She is the sweetest thing possible and the parents were both sweet also.

Pitbull is just a general term for the American Staffordshire Terrior, American Pitbull Terrior, and the Staffordshire Terrior.

Pit Bulls definitely get bad reps. I owe a wonderfully sweet and loyal 9 month old female American Pit Bull Terrier. Kaia is the best dog I have ever owed. If you research the temperment studies on breeds, bully breeds rank very highly.

I agree. I have met many well behaved and very sweet pit bulls.  They are adorable too!  I think the key is to have an owner that is willing to work with the dog daily and give him plenty of exercise and love.

What i know is that my dog was attacked by a pure bred Am Staf at a dog show.  Both dogs were on a leash and the attack was unprovoked.  It only lasted a moment but an artery was nicked and my dog almost died.  I know that there are probaby a few out there that are nice but because of my experience i will never be convinced that those dogs are safe.
