We recently put down our boxer, who had a brain tumor and hung in there as long as he could.  In the past three years, I watched two other boxers have to be put down, one with cancer and one with some other neurological disease.

I love the boxer personality-- just full of affection and goofiness.  Is there another breed out there that has a huge personality but is also a heathier breed and less prone to illnesses?

I'd hate to have to go through this again, and it seems like it's inevitable with boxers.
