breed help....what breed is this dog?

only have visual information, but any ideas or help on where to look/start would be appreciated. 

 it was a small dog, i'd say 12-15 pounds, very lean, almost fox-like, with long, silky black hair.  it was not a terrier.  never seen any dog like this and am not good with dog breeds anyway.  if anyone has any ideas on this breed, i would really appreciate it.

My vet offers a blood test that determines a dog's breed(s) - but it costs $135, I think.  Go to your vet and see if he can get that test for you, if it  is important enough to spend that much.
