I am completely outraged at the laws against Pitbulls in PG County.  My boyfriend had a beautiful pitbull that was raised in the temperment of a small lapdog.  He was spoiled rotten and as lovable as can be.  When will people realize that it is all in how you train your dogs?  My best friend has a long hair chihuahua that is more vicious than this pit.  He was registered in DC, but my boyfriend was visiting family in PG County.  He brought the pit along with him that day because his son and mom wanted to see the dog they missed so much.  Not knowing that someone had left the back gate open, the dog was let out to use the bathroom.  He got loose and someone called the pound.  I would bet my life that the dog would not harm a fly (unless provoked in which case any dog would react).  Of course the pound would not work with us to get the dog back.  It has been 31 days and his picture has been removed from the petharbor website.  I am guessing he has been put to sleep.  Why does the end result have to be so morbid?  Why can't they ship these pitbulls somewhere they are legal and have them adopted?  We are suffering a great loss of a best friend.  This has to stop!!!!
