here's some ideas

Save a COUCH! Buy 20 chewtoys!
Dogs need to chew and they’ll chew whatever they can. Your puppy
should have 5-10 chewtoys that you vary daily. For a chewtoy to be most
effective it MUST HAVE some edible component to it. That means part of
it is designed for the dog to INGEST and DIGEST. Your dog MAY chew on a
rope toy for example, but if you NEED to work out your dog’s need to
chew, a rope toy is not a sure bet. Here’s some sure bets.
GREAT CHEWTOYS
Hollow bone smeared with cheese, peanut butter or wet dog food
Kong toys filled with anything practically that's edible!
Bully stick [from the dog store]
Busy buddy toy stuffed with food
SMOKED Marrow bones from the petstore
NOT A CHEW TOY [although they MAY chew on it once or twice, it won't buy you the solid attention and energy burning you need it to]
Tennis ball
Rope toy
Rubber bone
Busy buddy [stuffed with food]
Plush stuffed animal
Frisbee
