Champ is rescue dog from the Good Dog Rescue, whom we volunteer with, and he is looking for a great forever home. He is a very good friend of Koa, and all of us would love to see him adopted. He is such a good dog - he spent a weekend with us and in that short time he learned to sit, stay, and was starting to heel for us on walks. He is a quiet soul, but very attached to his family and very eager to please. He shares his toys and food very well with others. While he hasn't lived with any small children, he has spent quite a bit of time around a couple of toddlers and has done fine. He is completely housebroken. He is a bit wary of new situations, but just guide him through it once and he is happy and proud of himself for doing it, and eager to do it again! At the recent dog adoption event he was very popular, all the lady dogs had to come by and say hi. A few humans did also. He was looking very sporting in a tee shirt, but he was looking so cute he did not want to outshine the other dogs, so he took it off. If you would like to know more about Champ, or apply to adopt him, please visit his page at Good Dog Rescue: http://www.gooddogrescueva.org/ani mals/detail?AnimalID=355788

Champ has not had too many real life experiences so it just thrilled me that before he left us this past weekend he gave me a doggy kiss. He is such a special boy - you really need to meet him. Update- We have looked in on Champ and hear he is doing well, but misses his foster sister. We make sure that he has fun treats to eat and play with and hope that someone finds out how special this boy is. Update 4/1/08: we brought champ some new toys yesterday, for which he was very grateful. He is still getting along well at the kennel, but he still longs for a forever home. Update 5/2008 Champ is one of the most popular dogs at the kennel where he lives and everyone there loves him. We went to go see him and he was so happy to see us, maybe because of the bone we brought him... not sure

Please consider meeting Champ. He deserves a good forever home and would be a great addition to any family. All he wants is some love, and he will return it ten-fold.
