can anyone pinpoint lily's breed(s)?

Lily1

i adopted lily about a year ago (she was approximately 5 months old at the time) and her previous owners informed me that she was a rottie mix.  it has now become clear to me that this is impossible (she only weighs 30 pounds and has a completely different build), and that they probably assumed this based only on her coloring.  she is black with tan markings (feet, eyebrows, mask), which can be found in a number of different breeds.  at this point, i am reasonably convinced that she is some combination of australian cattle dog, kelpie, border collie, and/or australian sheepdog.

if a more experienced eye can offer me some guidance, it would be much appreciated.  thanks!

What a pretty dog Lily is!  As a dog trainer I seen many mutts with the same markings. Its hard to really narrow it down to one breed when she can be a mix of a mix of a mix. I usually get a better idea of what the dominant breed is by training them and seen what their drives are. Instead of going for the physical I look at what special drives and mottor patters she shows (its different with every breed). For example, if she likes to herd things I would think boder collie but if she likes to herd and snap at the ankles I would go for a cattle dog and so on. Maybe with more details on her personality we can both narrow it down....
