RESCUE ME RALLY; BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN HOMELESS ANIMALS AND FOREVER HOMES
August 18th is the day dedicated to the millions of animals who die because they don't have loving and lasting homes.
It's National Homeless Animals' Day and this year to mark the somber occasion we will rally in Austin. The solution is spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership. Let the public know the animals in our city and beyond deserve great homes and long lives.
Please join animal lovers and welfare advocates as we meet up on the Pfluger bridge over Town Lake at 6pm for the Rescue Me Rally; Bridge the gap between homeless animals and forever homes.
Let's make it a really visual event by bringing signs and wearing t-shirts with your favorite animal related message. Friendly leashed dogs are welcome! It will be a great opportunity to come together with folks from other animal rescue and animal welfare organizations to remember the 12,000 animals who died last year at the Town Lake Animal Center, as well as the animals that did not make it out of shelters across Central Texas and around the country.
