i need advice please

i just recently got an akita puppy. he was 6 weeks old when i got him. since getting him, i have been trying to crate train him, which is very unsuccessful. he hates the crate, screams in it for hours (according to the neighbor), pees in it CONSTANTLY, i have tried feeding him in it, limiting his water intake, limiting the space in the crate and also not putting a towel/blanket in it. also, he cries and cries and cries constantly, even when i am home. example, i got home today, he had peed in his crate, i put him out, he peed again and then when i let him back in, i went upstairs and shut the door just to change, he screamed the whole time and when i came back down he had peed at the bottom of the steps. i just don't know what to do..... can someone please give me some advice on what i can do to stop the crying and peeing?????

Pet Days at OC Market Place

As part of National Pet Wellness Month, the Orange County Market Place, the weekend swap meet at the O. C. Fair and Event Center, will host Pet Days, Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 2008 presented by the Animal Assistance League of Orange County.

The two day event, which runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, will include specialty rescue and adoption groups; information on pet wellness, spaying and neutering and other animal welfare education; training tips; pet related vendors; guest speakers and demonstrations and non-profit pet organizations.

Space and participant applications, which will be carefully screened, are available by contacting Kathy Thorsell - Animal Assistance League of Orange County at 714-267-6777 or 714-893-4393 or emailing aalocadmn@aol.com. Deadline to submit applications is September 1.

The event will be held in conjunction with the regular swap meet activity, which includes nearly 1,000 merchants selling a variety of products and services.
